Our Alaska Smokehouse Natural Smoked Salmon is characterized by a light pink color, fine texture and mild flavor. After being delivered to our smokehouse in Alaska within days of being caught, only the best salmon are selected for smoking. Once they are selected, the salmon are hand-filleted and soaked in a traditional Native American brine to then be hot smoked over alder wood fires. It goes through the smoke process to carry the brine throughout the entire salmon, making it one of the best tasting smoked salmon products on the market today. Finally, each fillet is inspected before it is sealed in a gold foil pouch, known as a retort, locking in the salmon’s freshness and rich flavor. The retort is then packed in our award-winning gift box for further protection. All the while no preservatives, coloring, oils, or artificial ingredients are ever added to these Kosher-certified Natural Smoked Salmon fillets. Our Natural Smoked Salmon fillets are great for entertaining! Serve them as appetizers with crackers or use them in smoked salmon recipes, which can range from a wonderful Salmon Quiche to a mouthwatering Salmon Fettuccine. If you would like to serve wine with the Natural Smoked Salmon, we suggest a Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, or a Merlot.

I adore smoked Alaskan salmon. I even get cravings for it, lol. This was pretty inexpensive as far as smoked salmon goes, so I decided to give it a try. I normally get Seabear. The quality of this brand is very comparable, though I still prefer Seabear to this - with Seabear, I feel like I can taste the wild, but with this, that "wild" flavor isn't nearly as intense.If you're raising an eyebrow at me right now, I don't mind, lol. I grew up with fresh seafood. I can taste anything and often tell whether it came from the ocean, a farm, a river, etc. I think the reason this taste is so different from Seabear is due to fishing in different waters. It's slight, so I'm guessing most folks won't be able to tell the difference. A real seafood fan with sensitive tastes will, though. Seabear tastes more like deep ocean; this is more mild, and I'm guessing it was caught somewhere where the salt water isn't as concentrated, like maybe the mouth of a river.Either way, it's good fish, and I wasn't able to make it last! Lol! Try it out with some black garlic spread on top, and you'll be in pure salmon heaven!
