The best-selling Classic Century is known for its slim profile and signature Cross conical top. It is perhaps the brand’s most recognizable pen for gifting. In the early days, Cross used engine-turning to create intricate engraving patterns to decorate its finishes. This same traditional approach was used to etch a sophisticated diamond-pattern into this fountain pen’s modern brushed chrome finish. It is accented with polished black PVD appointments and features a stainless-steel nib that adapts to your personal touch with use. The look of this finish was inspired by urban design trends and is perfect for those who like to make a statement as they pursue their dreams. This Classic Century writing instrument is presented in a premium gift box and comes with two black fountain pen cartridges that make it as neat and easy-to-use as a ballpoint or rollerball pen. Like all Cross Pens, it is covered by a Lifetime Mechanical .

One of my favourite things about Cross is that they really do know how to make slim pens that are durable. Not all Cross fountain pens are thin, but the Classic Century is close to what I had come to expect with their ballpoint pens. This pen is thin! My only possible complaint would be that it is lighter then what I had expected due to the pen body being a thiner material, thus allow space for the cartridge. A sad trade off, but one I am more than happy to make for such a narrow pen. Also, there are no converters (due to the restrictive space inside), but that is why the fountain pen gods made ink syringes. You can still use your favourite ink colors in this pen. Regardless, of the weight trade off, I really do love this pen. Another great benefit of this pen is that it writes so very smooth, and the sound it makes against paper is almost hypnotic. Cross pens have always been worth the investment.
