It was easy to assemble, feel comfortable to use. I like it so far.So the craftmaship is typical to most you will find selling CNCed self assembled Plyo boxes. The textured surface is a nice touch. However I see a few week areas of misprepresebtation in the design that need rethought. The box is well machined and dimensions are ok for the most part. But if you have some woodworking skills and think the design can be built according to typical wood crafting proceedures you have been mislead. Typically when I make cabinets or boxes that support anykind of weight, which this is in its simplist terms. I would clamp, glue, and crag screw the joints.The screws that come with this kit are countersunk and tend to have less clamping power than a recessed craig screw. They also tend to blow thru the wood rather than apply clamping force. I am planning on changing the supplied ones pf craig screws in the near future.The second flaw I see is that the internal brace is not sturdy, it seems to shift around alot and seems like it would collaps given time and repeaded stress. After reading some of the other reviews a few people have confirmed this, which lead me to screw it in place to each corner in order to prevent the brace from moving. The manufacturer should realy drill these holes and machine out an area to lock these braces in place at the cost of this box.The last misleading part of the directions is that you can glue these boxes. If it were raw wood that normaly would be a good decision because most commercial glue works well enough. However if you are purchasing the textured surface this will not work because the nontextured side of the box is laminated with a smooth finish that doesnt adhear to the glue, so basicly you would have to sand these surfaces down and hope you dont make the wood untrue. This realy shouldnt have to be done by the customer at the cost of this box.I will post a future review as the sturdiness of the basic design with supplied screws works.I assembled the box last night. There's instructions in the packaging, which are different from the ones I printed from Amazon. The instructions in the box listed the amount of screws required/come in the packaging. There's 2 missing screws. This is a real bummer, as I now need to head to the hardware store to buy some. I don't have two loose screws spare around the house (insert joke here). Still sturdy enough to use. I may disassemble and treat the wood before using. Before you purchase from Amazon, look at the company's website. It's $10 cheaper on there, and that's before military/veteran discount!The plyo box arrived in a flat shipping container with all the sides, parts for cross-bracing, screws, and a small screwdriver included. The sides and braces were all cut well and fit together well. The non-slip surface seems to be exactly that and worked well during my first session using the box.The only negatives were that not all the pre-drilled holes were actually countersunk and several of them weren’t actually drilled all the way through the piece. Note that you will have to create your on holes on the underlying pieces on each point of attachment, but the screws that are included are self-tapping, so this shouldn’t be much of a problem.I ordered two 24/20/18 plyo boxes but received two differently looking packages with (slightly) different plyo boxes in them. Package of the box with the smaller logo was well and tightly packed and came with good professional instructions. The box with the larger logo was packed loosely, came with weird instructions and arrived slightly damaged (see photo). Change in Chinese manufacturer!?? Main issue besides the inconsistent logo and milling is the deviation in dimensions. The dimensions of the box with the smaller logo are smaller than mentioned and, therefore, I finally had to ordered another one (got the one with the bigger logo) and to return the not matching one.Other than this inconvenience, I like the boxes. They are very sturdy, heavy enough to not flip and look great - but good luck getting the same box twice right away.The product packaging was good. Very much an intuitive build. Really liked that the workmanship was great. The pieces fit together nearly perfectly. Edges were softened and pilot holes (with counter sinking) was awesome! All wood surfaces were sanded nicely. I purchased the 12/14/16 size and was satisfied with my selection. Overall one of the best, if not THE best purchase I've made on Amazon for a product of this nature. I would definitely recommend this product.It’s not too bad. Easy to assemble and finished reasonably well. There was still some burrs but seems solid.It seems pretty solid. It went together with minimal hassle. One of the screws was missing so I took off a star for the quality control. I was happy that they were not cheap screws that the heads break off, but rather better quality screws. The directions are a little hazy but you can get through them.
